Andrew is the kind of Joy Maker who shows up when it matters most, stepping in after the install to make sure everything works exactly as it should. With a calm confidence, a problem-solver’s mindset, and a deep respect for the people he serves, Andrew lives out “hug your customer” by giving every project his full attention. Name: Andrew Brown
RJE Location: Indianapolis, IN
How long have you been with RJE, and what’s your role in one sentence?
A year and 9 months. I’m the go-to guy to make sure all things go smoothly once your job has been installed – meaning, I help with service calls.
What led you to RJE?
My VA Vocational Rehab team.
What’s a project or moment at RJE that’s stuck with you—and why?
I remember a weekend job for a head football coach’s [IU] office. The trophy case had a bunch of hidden light strips that I was able to figure out and rig up with a remote. The view of the stadium from his office behind the goal posts was impressive.
What do you look forward to most in your workday at RJE?
I enjoy the freedom and authority to navigate issues I feel capable of handling, knowing that I have a team of professionals in the wings should I need assistance or advice.
How do you personally bring “hug your customer” to life?
When I engage with a customer, they and their project get 100% of my focus and respect.
What is your current favorite product from Allsteel and its portfolio of brands?
Why those?
They’re a great learning opportunity for new installers. We do these installs often, and Allsteel packages them to be easy to understand while still requiring hands-on interaction with many common mechanisms.
Salty or sweet?
Salty.
